For the fifth time, the Electronic Sports World Cup will organize a Counter-Strike Women's tournament during Grand Final hosted at Expo Park of Paris from July 5th to July 8th.
This competition is set for 24 teams: 13 qualified, 10 invited, and 1 defending champion.
13 slots will be granted through national preliminaries in the following countries:
- Austria - Belgium - Bulgaria - Canada - China - France - Germany - Netherlands - Norway - Russia - Serbia - Spain - Sweden
Use the contact referenced on the several www.eswc.com country pages to get more information. 10 slots will be open to women teams without national preliminaries in their country. To be selected, teams must send a candidate application by email to candidate@eswc.com from April 12th to April 26th. This email must gather the following elements:
- In the subject title of the email: Application for ESWC 2007 CS Women In the content of the email: - Team's manager last name, first name, email, phone number and address. - Link to the team's profile that must created on www.eswc.com with all 5 team's member registered (for example: Team BTB profile page) - Team's achievements. - A little description (5 to 10 lines) of the reasons why ESWC Organizing Committee should select you.
From April 27th to April 29th, ESWC Organizing Committee will analyze each candidate's application and will select 10 teams according to their performances and their past achievements. The selection will be announced April 30th.
Those 10 selected teams will have to confirm their presence and provide to ESWC Organizing Committee their travel justification before May 15th. Past this dead line, they will be removed from the participant list and replaced by a team in the waiting list.
According to ESWC's rule of the defending champion, the French team BTB takes the last remaining slot to defend their Counter-Strike Women World Champion 2006 title. More information will be announced May 3rd during the press conference in Paris and May 4th on the official site.
