AU: Games and Politics Collide

A challenger appears to contest Michael Atkinson's SA seat.

Kotaku AU this morning posted an interesting interview with the first genuine rival of recent times to take on Attorney General Michael Atkinson's South Australian seat - and the hot topic is games and the much-demanded R18+ classification.

Theb 'Gamers 4 Croydon' party, headed by leader David Doe (employee of Australian game developer Firemint), will be campaigning in Adelaide's Rundle Mall today to collect 150 membership signatures required to officially register 'Gamers 4 Croydon' as a political party.

On the bold move, Doe pressed the group's stance. "Make no mistake, we're playing to win."

IGN AU wishes Gamers 4 Croydon well in its undertaking and will keep you updated on the campaign as it develops.

Interested parties can join the movement here.
