Miyamoto Drops Zelda Wii MotionPlus Details

Feel what it's like playing as Link, Nintendo says.

It seems players will need to stretch a bit before firing up the newest Zelda title planned for the Nintendo Wii.

Famed game creator Shigeru Miyamoto recently spilled some details about how players will make Link interact in the world of Hyrule using Wii MotionPlus controls, which were confirmed back in June.

Miyamoto explained Wii MotionPlus adds a new depth to the traditional gameplay, making players "feel" like they're in the center of combat.

"In this (installment of the series), we're using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you're actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand," he said at a recent Q&A session in Tokyo (via Wired).

"In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we'll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience."

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was one of the original launch titles for the Nintendo Wii back in 2006. What can Nintendo fo to improve upon the new Zelda with Wii MotionPlus?
