Rumor: Microsoft Cancels Planned Kameo Sequel

Looks like Rare fans may want to tone down their excitement level about the possibility of another Kameo title.

A source close to Rare informed CVG the studio's recent restructuring last February saw the cancellation of several "traditional" franchise sequels, including a follow up to Xbox 360's prettiest launch title, Kameo.

The reasons? Besides a development shift toward creating innovative Project Natal titles, as a job listing suggested this past summer, the source also said low sales factored in Microsoft pulling the plug.

As per usual, Microsoft said it does not comment on rumor or speculation.
