Left 4 Dead Crash Course DLC Gets a Date

Valve's second round of downloadable content for its zombie shooter is coming at the end of the month.

A note from Valve Software this morning reveals that it will unleash the second round of downloadable content for Left 4 Dead on September 29th. Dubbed Crash Course, the DLC adds new single-player, multiplayer and co-op content to the game and will bridge the gap between the "No Mercy" and "Death Toll" campaigns.

While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of Crash Course is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes, resulting in a streamlined version of the game's existing Versus campaigns. A recharge timer for infected teammates has also been added, and item spawn behavior has changed for more balanced gameplay.

Crash Course's release is worldwide for both PC and Xbox 360. However, according to earlier reports, the Xbox 360 version will cost players 560 Microsoft Points where as the PC update will be completely free.

Bryn says: Good job I just installed the PC version of the game. It's really annoying that Microsoft's Xbox Live policies indicate free content isn't an option, especially when the developer/publishers wishes it to be free.

As an Xbox 360 owner, will you still pay? At least it's not 800 or 1,200 Points...
