Warhammer Online's First Birthday Celebrations Revealed

Mythic's MMORPG details plans for its upcoming first anniversary.

Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be celebrating its first anniversary on August 31st. The developer has detailed plans of how players will be able to join in the festivities as it announces a new special live event, special weekend-only scenarios and a month-long 20 percent XP/renown bonus plan.

"This anniversary marks a major milestone for WAR, the Mythic development team, and our fantastic community of players," said Jeff Hickman, Executive Producer of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. "We could think of no better way of marking this occasion than by celebrating our success with our fans for the entire month of September.

We've got new content to share with the Wild Hunt live event, special versions of popular scenarios, and a 20% experience and renowned bonus, plus, players can get special rare drops, veteran rewards, fireworks, Halfling pies, and exploding stout! Now that is a party Warhammer style!"

The aforementioned weekend events will see special versions of Mourkain Temple, Gates of Ekrund and Temple of Isha come into play.

Bryn says: One year old already eh? Time just flies when you're busy hacking limbs off the opposing side... Most of this stuff seems pretty cool, if not a little expected.

Perhaps I'll dust off my Dwarf and take him for a spin through the modified scenarios... it could be fun. When did you quit or are you still hammering faces?
