Halo 3 Still Popular

Halo 3 was released back in September of 2007. Since then, it has battled a pair of Call of Duty games to be the most played Xbox 360 game. While Microsoft's Xbox community manager Major Nelson gives out weekly updates as to what games are being played the most, no numbers regarding how many people are actually playing those games are ever offered.

At a recent Bungie press event, Bungie's Brian Jarrard offered a little clarity. Nearly two years after its release, there are still roughly 1 million unique Halo 3 players every day. That's greater than the population of San Francisco.
