Street Fighter IV Tops Two Million

Impressive initial results for Street Fighter revival

Street Fighter mania has returned! The home versions of SFIV have combined for total worldwide shipments of two million units, Capcom Japan announced today. The feat comes just days after the game's release in the English world and a week after the game's Japanese release.

While Capcom didn't provide specific shipment figures for the various regions of the world, it's pretty clear that most of the shipments were to markets outside of Japan. First week sales for Japan have the 360 and PS3 version combining for under 130,000 units. Assuming a good portion of the two million units aren't sitting around in warehouses somewhere, expect more impressive figures come NPD time.
