Two Million Devils Have Cried

Capcom touts multiplatform strategy in double platinum landmark.

Capcom announced today that worldwide shipments for Devil May Cry 4 have topped the two million mark. The figure includes shipments for Japan, where the game was released first on January 31, North America, which followed on February 5, and Europe, which trailed just behind on February 8.

Capcom attributed the strong sales to its early adoption of the new hardware platforms, including work on the multiplatform development environment, the MT Framework.

Total worldwide shipments for the series as a whole, starting with 2001's Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 2, have reached the nine million mark as of February 20.
