EA says an online show about its RTS is ready for prime time.

Hardcore Command & Conquer fans itching for play-by-play breakdowns of their favorite multiplayer moments will soon have their own video channel on the Interwebs.

Electronic Arts announced today that the new channel and its flagship online show, BattleCast PrimeTime, will launch Aug. 14 on the official Command & Conquer Web site.

Dedicated solely to C&C, the channel will feature segments in which advanced players show off their skills, while newcomers can observe, study, and learn from the best. Matches will be broken down and analyzed by the game's designers. Led by a host and co-host, the show will feature numerous segments including:

  • Multiplayer match highlights and detailed profiles of
  • each of the players in the featured matches
  • ''
  • Exclusive interviews with C&C development team members ''News updates surrounding community events
  • ''
  • Celebrity guest appearances, including Joe Kucan, the actor who originated the role of the infamous Kane in the series

The real-time strategy series is in its 12th year and has sold more than 25 million units to date. The latest game in the series, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, is out now for PC and Xbox 360.''
