Radio Allergy Shot Down on 'Cube

Japanese shooter cancelled by O3 Entertainment.

Publisher O3 Entertainment has officially announced that the much-delayed GameCube shoot-'em-up Radio Allergy has been cancelled in North America - but could find a new home on Wii as part of a compilation of shooters.

O3 Entertainment released a statement on its website explaining why the game has been cancelled: "Due to the transition to new gaming platforms, retailers are no longer interested in stocking GameCube titles. [Developer] Milestone is exploring options to bring this to North America as part of a future compilation on the Wii."

Radio Allergy is a cel-shaded shooter starring super-powerful robots armed with swords and guns. It was released in Japan on GameCube in May 2006 and O3 Entertainment was due to launch the game in America in February 2007.

O3 went on to say that it was "deeply disappointed" Radio Allergy had been scrapped but promised that it had made every effort to release the game.
