How are you with Halo online?

When it comes to being at home and playing with my buddies on system link I'll destroy fools with that. Give me any weapon or any vehicle--it doesn't matter--I'll go crazy. But when it comes to Halo 2, the look and feel of everything was just so different, and I didn't jump online with it immediately because I'm one of those guys that likes to beat the single-player campaign first and then go online. But the problem was that in the time it took me to beat the single-player campaign--it's a pretty long game--all of these thirteen year olds were going online immediately, and they're all just crazy good learning all the tricks of the trade and glitching and all that stuff. I just eventually grew weary of the Halo 2 online pretty quickly and was playing Ghost Recon or Gears of War. I think Gears of War is just an incredible, incredible game with great online play.

What do you like about Gears of War?

I find that the best guys that play Gears of War are really the best teams that play that game, You can go play Halo and be some soldier of fortune and do pretty well, but if you tried to split off by yourself in Gears, you'll get killed. It really does make it a team-based player experience.

Is that what you're doing now with Bioshock?

Fortunately for myself, I've been working every day all day long, so I don't have time to play. But yesterday I was in my dressing room at Warner Bros. and I brought my 60-inch rear projection LCD that I had to get out of my house over there. I have an Xbox 360 and Wii there and I plowed through a good amount of one of the levels. The levels are really vast. The best part is all the plasma and hypnotizing the big daddies and having them fight each other, that's my little trick of the trade. By the end of the fight, one of them is dead and the other one is almost dead so you can take them both out and you're good to go.

Let's switch to something a little bit lighter, like the Wii -- can you talk about that system?

Oh yeah, I love I love the Wii. What's kind of weird and a little disappointing, I guess, is that Wii Sports is the best game for the system. I have six games for the Wii. I have The Godfather, Rayman Rabids, a monster truck game that came with the steering wheel and Paper Mario. Paper Mario is great, but I got off track and never beat the game, so I'll have to go back to that one.

With the pilot it seems that you guys were able to integrate video games into the show. Is that something you're going to be doing more of?

I really hope so. That was one of the biggest draws for me is that Chuck was this gamer and I can really relate to that. Josh Gomez, who plays Morgan, my best friend, he is just a HUGE gamer. We will sit on set and talk games, especially when we were doing the pilot, because we were getting to know one another. It was a huge blessing because it was a great way to bond talking about our favorite video games and we'd geek out for like a half-hour.

What did you geek out about?

We talked about how bummed we were when Rare lost the rights to James Bond after Goldeneye because all of the James Bond games blew after that. They were horrible. Perfect Dark was a fun game with the laptop gun, but it still wasn't James Bond. Stuff like that.
