Over the years The Simpsons TV show has parodied video games.

I love it when we do that stuff in The Simpsons where we reference games. We had a recent show where there is a brand new comic book store that opens up right across the street from the Comic Book Guy's store and Jack Black plays the hipster owner of Coolsville, this amazing store that sells video games and all sorts of neat stuff. In order to signify how cool he is, we show him playing Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution simultaneously. He is playing Guitar Hero while jumping around. If you don't know what it is we're doing, it will be very confusing.

"South Park" just did an entire episode on Guitar Hero.

Dammit, they beat us. But ours is one quick joke.

What's next for The Simpsons?

We are working on a ride at Universal Studios in Orlando and Los Angeles. We're bringing Kwik-E-Mart back to Universal Studios with 7/11. That promotion for the movie was an astonishing success. I was a little worried that the 7/11 clerks wouldn't want to wear Apu's uniform, but they were very good sports.

What will the ride be like?

We do to amusement park rides what the video game has done to video games. It's sort of a send-up of amusement park rides, if you can imagine that. You participate in the ride as if you're going through a Simpsons episode. Since so much of the amusement park ride experience is that waiting to get on the ride, we are trying to make that as entertaining as possible. It has really cool designs and if you are a Simpsons fan you are going to be on sensory overload.

And Back to the Future fans will have no more De Loreans to ride.

Oh I am so sad about that. No old ride should ever be scrapped. They should only build new rides. Every time they close a ride at Disneyland I get bummed out. I miss the original submarines at Disneyland and they took off the sky rides. How can that be?
